Setting: a Future Metropolis.
Year: 2061
Planet: Earth.
Politics: Global, under control of Mega Corporations
Duration: Six Months
Level of conflict: Extreme political uprising. Global citizens are locked into an internal war over destruction of free thinking on planet earth. The Global Government has put the interests of corporations before the citizens of earth. Speaking out or forming any kind of uprising against capitalism is a capital offense with extreme penalties, such as life in prison or a mind wipe, becoming a lifetime worker of the offending corporation.
Political parties have divided into two groups. Cooperates and the Freewill Society. The Free will society is a splinter group that is underground trying to ralley change in the people of the world. They support a handful of government officials that support the cause and are secretly promoting bills that will hamper the efforts of corporations to gain complete control over the political system; something must be done at all costs.
The Corporations have near control over world government and use it to write laws that restrict freedoms outside of the work environment citing monetary concerns, to stifle criticism of the people. The use surveillance technology and mind altering techniques to slow down the free thinkers, but it?s an uphill battle.
INT. CITIUMS CONDO - NIGHT
We are in a small dimly lit one room apartment about the size of a jail cell. MICHALE CITIUM a man in his thirties with short brown hair is in bed fast asleep. As we get closer to the bed we see a computer display at the head.
A line travels across the screen at regular intervals and spikes at the center.
Citium begins to toss and turn. We get closer to citiums face. He turns his head toward us still asleep.
He opens his mouth in shock, and then closes it. He mouths the words "NO!"
